About Me

Chef Massimo Fedozzi, is a graduate of the Marco Polo Culinary Institute of Genova, Italy. While growing up in Northern Italy, Fedozzi was intimately involved with food from a young age. He learned about pasta and antipasti at his parents’ salumi shops in Genova and delighted in the meals and aromas while his family gathered around the kitchen table. Fluent in English, Italian and Spanish, he was expected to become a translator, but followed his true passion and attended the Marco Polo Culinary Institute in Genova. Fedozzi’s career began in the kitchens of some of Europe’s most renowned establishments including: The Savoy Hotel in London, England; Le Chantecler at the Hotel Le Negresco in Nice, France and Grand The Hotel Park in Gstaad, Switzerland. At Ristorante Aladino in Genova, following the step of his mentor Gualtiero Marchesi, Fedozzi became one of the first chefs in Italy to present nouvelle cuisine and the youngest Italian Executive Chef. He strives to share his enthusiasm for taste and presentation and lives by the philosophy that “THE QUALITY OF INGREDIENTS IS EVERYTHING AND SIMPLICITY OF EXECUTION IA A MUST”.
Before moving to Long Island in 2009, where he opened “Palio Ristorante” in Jericho and “VERO” in Amityville, Chef Fedozzi spearheaded the opening and operations of all back of the house functions as Culinary Director for “I Tre Merli”, “Barolo”, “La Focaccia” and “I Tre Merli Bistro” in Manhattan.
In 1995 he became the Corporate Chef for Jimmy Schmidt in Detroit where he ran the Back of the house operations of four Chianti restaurants, Stelline in the Somerset Troy and The Rattlesnake Club.
In July 1997, Massimo was hired by “Sofo Foods” as Spokesperson and Vice President of Research and Development, where he represented the company at major food events and developed recipes for Pizza Hut, Marco’s pizza and various Midwest restaurant chains.
In February of 2000, Massimo joined the culinary team at the Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando, a Loews Hotel, where he focused on authentic Ligurian cuisine.
Five years later, Chef Massimo took the helm of the kitchen of Portobello Yacht Club in Downtown Disney, Orlando. Chef Fedozzi moved to Arlington, VA, where he spearheaded the opening of the Hotel Palomar Roslyn with Kimpton Hotel and Restaurants as property Chef. Chef Massimo Fedozzi was recognized with various awards including the AAA Four Diamonds, the Mobil Guide Three Stars and many, many stars from Long Island’s Newsday. Chef Massimo has extensive experience in private cooking for celebrities including the House of Saud, Francis Ford-Coppola, Robin Williams, Sylvester Stallone, Madonna, President George W. Bush, VP Dick Cheney, Senator Bill Nelson, Gene Simmons, Sammy Hagar, Mark McGrath, Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Aretha Franklin, Sting, Robin Williams and Private Residences and he can easily adapt to different diets and personal preferences considering his large breadth of culinary styles.

  • Massimo and his wife Tara were amazing. We held a party last night that set up, executed and concluded without any glitches. The aroma that was coming from the kitchen when I arrived home was amazing. That was only the beginning of what was an tastefully planned night of food, presentation and detailed description of everything we were about to eat. If I were to have to pick my favorite course I would have to say ALL of them. Each course was paired perfectly with ingredients that made each dish another wonderful experience. Massimo’s nearly 40 years of experience in high end restraunts shows in everything he does. Massimo and Tara are very friendly and made cooking another entertaining event for me and my guests to watch. If you are planning an event or special celebration, I would highly Recommend Massimo !!

  • Chef Massimo and his wife Tara went above and beyond! This was my first time using table at home and my first time hiring a chef for an event and it went perfectly. Chef Massimo was on time, clean, professional, personable, and the food was out-of-this world DELICIOUS! We are all still talking about it. I cannot recommend them more highly and cannot wait for my next event to hire him again!

  • Chef Massimo was amazing! Everything went off without a hitch! He was so easy to work with to create the perfect vegetarian menu for my mother’s birthday! His freshly made gnocchi are unbelievably delicious, and my mother is still talking about the cacio e pepe and eggplant caponata! Him and his wife Tara are friendly, professional, and very accommodating I cannot recommend Chef Massimo enough! I can’t wait for another event so that I can hire him again!

  • Chef Massimo was amazing! He was easy to work with, and even managed to accommodate me when we had a mix-up in dates. He arrived when he said he would, with his wife Tara, and they were both very friendly. The food was incredible - a summer fruit panzanella, freshly made gnocchi in bolognese sauce, and delicious striped bass, along with great veggies. Everyone couldn't stop talking about it the next day. Will definitely have Chef Massimo back in the future!

  • Chef Massimo was great. He arrived promptly with everything he needed. I was having a birthday dinner for my wife with my young kids there. He made a wonderful simple meal for the kids - while my wife and i had a delicious 3 course meal. His gnocchi w meat sauce was awesome. The ingredients were all very fresh - steak, burrata etc. Would definitely recommend him and hire him again. Also a great guy to talk to and get some cooking tips from

  • I had requested a private chef to prepare a dinner for 7 at an Airbnb in NYC for the first night of a Bachelorette weekend. I wanted to be able to hear my friends and catch up without the restaurant BUT I wanted a nice restaurant meal, not take-out.

    I had never heard of Table at Home or used it but it was so easy to use: I received so many proposals from different chefs who were all incredibly helpful, responsive, and offered unique menus and varying price points.

    I ended up going with Massimo and would hire him every night if I could. Massimo was a true professional, friendly but not intrusive, he accommodated last minute requests without issue, he arrived on time, dinner was served on time, and the kitchen was spotless by the time we finished dessert.

    But most importantly - the meal was perfect. The execution, the flavors, and preserntation were all perfect.
    We had a great time and Massimo has sold me on this service.

  • Chef Massimo arrived with his wife who assisted him, Tara, and from the start they both were professional, in control and lovely to work with. Under a difficult situation (my dinner party was delayed a full hour), they handled the delayed timing without a hitch, and the dinner party was a tremendous success. The food was superb and all my guests were delighted and complimentary throughout the meal.

    Chef Massimo has a way of combining spices, herbs, sauces and the freshest of vegetables and fish that were a delight to our palate and created a culinary sensation.

  • My challange was to host a 6 person dinner party centered around a specific and special Italian wine producer. The bottles were all unique so needed the food and experience to match.

    Table at Home connected me with Chef Massimo who did an amazing job preparing a menu to match our wine selection.

    On our night, Chef was punctual and began his work.

    The course timing worked perfectly and the entire meal was excellent. We were able to fully enjoy the wine and our guests without having to worry about anything.

    It was likhaving a Restaurant in my home.

    Chef also had a wonderful table side manner explaining the courses.

    The night was a total success.

  • Outstanding experience with Chef Massimo! He arrived on time with all the ingredients and made himself at home in our kitchen. He whipped up a memorable dinner for me, my husband and our guests. There were so many highlights from watching him prepare and cook our meal, the best was the made-on-the-spot fresh gnocchi that he boiled for 2 minutes and then smothered in rich and delicious Bolognese sauce. Five stars! I can't wait to do this again.
